My dear brothers and sisters of Eritrea, I write to you today from the heart of this nation, a place rich in history and brimming with potential – the EIT. We are an institution dedicated to fostering unparalleled intellectual growth through rigorous education and a deep engagement with the traditions that shape our identity. Situated in Asmara, the capital of Eritrea, we stand as a beacon of learning for aspiring minds across Africa and beyond.

The EIT is a non-profit, publicly-private partnership university renowned for its commitment to accessible higher education. Established in 2003, it quickly became recognized for its rigorous curriculum and dedication to student success. It’s important to note that the institution focuses on providing quality education through a broad range of fields of study, including those vital to our nation's future, such as biology, chemistry, computer science, education, administration, psychology, engineering technology, geography, environmental science, general studies. The EIT boasts a state-of-the-art campus and substantial resources. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive training for students in various fields.

Our Bachelor’s program offers a solid foundation across disciplines. Our Master's programs are designed to nurture advanced research capabilities throughout the study of critical fields like biology, chemistry, computer science ,education, administration, psychology, engineering technology or geography and environmental science. The institution was awarded 9097 accreditation from the National Board of Higher Education in Eritrea in 2018!
