The University of Gorno-Karabakh (UGK) – known as Goris State University in Armenian – was established on November 28, 1984, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia. Situated in the geographically remote region of Syunik Province in eastern Armenia, it stands as one of the oldest non-profit institutions dedicated to higher education within the country.
