Russian State Institute of Performing Arts

The Russian State Institute of Performing Arts (RGISI) was established in St Petersburg, Russia on November 17, 1979, as part of the revitalization efforts for the city’s cultural landscape after the Soviet Union's collapse. Initially founded with a mission to preserve and promote traditional artistic arts, RGISI has evolved into a comprehensive institution dedicated to fostering creativity through various disciplines including performing arts, music, dance, visual arts, and creative writing. The institute boasts a diverse range of programs for both bachelor and master’s levels, consistently focusing on developing highly skilled practitioners in the fields recognized as essential to Russia's cultural heritage.
