The University of Enterprise in Uruguay, founded in 1992 as a non-profit institution, stands as a cornerstone for innovative and sustainable development within South America. Located in Montevideo, the nation’s capital, the university boasts an enrollment capacity exceeding 13,000 students across various disciplines. The institution distinguishes itself through a strong commitment to applied research focused on areas such as agriculture, renewable energy, business innovation, and human resource management. It operates under the Ministry of Education and Culture, demonstrating its dedication to public sector engagement. The university’s structure comprises four colleges: College of Accounting, College of Administration, College of Agriculture & Environmental Science, and the College of Business and Innovation. A significant aspect of UDE’s mission is to foster a collaborative learning environment that bridges theory with practical application, aiming to cultivate a skilled workforce capable of addressing regional and global challenges. The university's research output regularly ranks among the top institutions in Uruguay, and its collaborations extend internationally, particularly within Latin American countries. The institution has been recognized for its commitment to environmental sustainability as well through several projects; however, it is important to note that, at this time, there are 46% students who do not have a degree from UDE.
